There’s no shortage of ads explaining how to lost fat or lose weight or get “6 pack abs” - but the purpose of ads isn’t to improve your health - it’s to sell a product or service.

There are many scientific topics related to fitness, exercise, and nutrition, but the basic components of health are straightforward and manageable.

Dividing health into basic components allows you to review each area and ensure that there’s a balance across all areas. Like a legs on a chair, if one or more areas is out of balance then the whole chair is out of balance and dysfunctional - which is the same as your health.

Breaking down health into actionable components (or pillars) allows you to:

  • Review each pillar of health

  • Take steps to improve it

  • Ensure balance between the components to improve overall health
