What happens during a treatment session?
Treatment sessions are either 30 or 45 minutes. You will remain fully clothed, but you should wear clothes that allow for movement (like gym or athletic clothing). Every session is a combination of examination and treatment.
A RAPID trained therapist uses their hands to evaluate the texture, tightness and movement of muscles, fascia, tendons, ligaments and nerves.
We will focus on the root cause area(s) to alleviate your pain or increase your range of motion.
What is RAPID Neurofascial Reset (NFR)?
RAPID Neurofascial Reset (NFR) is an advanced soft tissue movement-based therapeutic technique that addresses the central nervous system’s role in alleviating tension and restrictions within muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia and nerves.
What does a RAPID NFR treatment feel like?
Hypersensitive (or painful) areas are treated by combining precisely directed tension with very specific client movements. RAPID sessions may be uncomfortable during the movement phase of the treatment. This occurs as the neurological system is being stimulated to restore normal function.
What client age ranges to you treat?
RAPID NFR (and my other treatment techniques) have been used to treat a wide variety of ages - I have some teen athletes as regular clients as well as older active clients in the 30s, 40, and 50s. I’ve even treated clients as young as 8 - feel free to reach out if you have questions about you or your child’s specific situation.
Are your treatments techniques limited to RAPID NFR?
While I often incorporate RAPID NFR into most of my treatment sessions, I also have other assessment and treatment techniques that may be used in client sessions. These other techniques include Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM for short, similar to the “Graston Technique”; also known as “tissue scraping”), cupping, Functional Movement Screening (FMS), Oxygen Advantage Breathing Instruction, and more. I’m always continuing my education to keep current with evidence-based approaches to ensure my clients can find solutions to nagging pain or movement problems.
How many treatment sessions will I need?
This depends on several factors like your overall health, activity level, and length of time since the injury or pain onset. Typically, most pain issues can be resolved in 2 - 5 treatment sessions. If you’ve had an issue for a long time, you will likely need a few more treatment sessions than if it’s a newer injury or pain.
Once your pain is relieved or range of motion is restored - you’re done!
After the pain is gone, it’s important to reeducate your body/brain about your new and improved movement, so we help you stay pain and injury free. For this reason, we have treatment packages to help keep you moving pain-free and prevent you from falling back into old movement patterns.
Can I buy treatment packages?
Yes, we have 3 treatment packages:
5-pack of treatment sessions
10-pack of treatment sessions
20-pack of treatment sessions (SHAREABLE with others!)
See the Packages page for more details.
